Sustainability
Saving food and donating food
We have been cooperating with Berliner Tafel, who support 130,000 Berliners in need, for over 30 years. At FRUIT LOGISTICA, Berliner Tafel is on a major mission. Hundreds of volunteers collect fresh fruit and vegetables at the end of the trade fair, which are then donated. In 2025, 57 tonnes of food were collected in this way.
For further impressions we recommend the press release of Berliner Tafel E.V. (in German only).
"Our heart beats for fresh fruit and vegetables. That's why it's important to us that our exhibitors' products get the appreciation it deserves." (Alexander Stein, FRUIT LOGISTICA Project Manager)
The products, and therefore the resources used to produce them, are not wasted but donated to people who do not have sufficient access to fresh fruit and vegetables.
We would like to thank Berliner Tafel and our exhibitors for their commitment and support!

You are an exhibitor and want to donate food?
On the last day of the trade fair, volunteers from Berliner Tafel will distribute stickers with which you can mark the products you want to donate. These will then be collected after the trade fair closes.

Guideline for sustainable event planning as an exhibitor
Sustainability is becoming increasingly important – including in the context of trade fair participation. This checklist offers practical tips for making attendance at an event as sustainable as possible, from low-carbon travel and eco-friendly stands to sustainable waste disposal practices.
