The software helps fruit producers to make accurate decisions on harvest timing, storability and the fruit’s market potential. iLeaf determines the maturity of fruit on the tree in order to accurately decide on a harvest window. This ensures peak fruit quality. An extensive fruit maturity database built over years of research and collecting data gives producers an insight into storability, which is essential for planning and distribution. Real-time weather data and forecasts from 650 weather stations in Southern Africa on temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed and direction are updated hourly and stored in the cloud. They can be accessed on any device and offer users accurate decision-making support.
