What you need to know before visiting the trade fair

Many trade visitors travel long distances to FRUIT LOGISTICA. Last year, they came from 145 countries to build as many business leads as possible in only a few days and to find out about the latest topics. Knowing your aims and what your key interests are helps with planning. What do I expect from the trade fair? What questions am I hoping to find answers to? Whom do I want to meet? Asking yourself these questions enables you to organise your visit efficiently.

Check events and set up appointments

The programme already provides details of many events, weeks ahead of the trade fair. A concise overview is available at FRUIT LOGISTICA Online and in the FRUIT LOGISTICA app. You can create a profile free of charge and mark the dates that interest you. Your favourites, whether keynote speeches, forums or panel discussions, are then clearly listed under the Calendar of Events. If you miss a presentation, it will be available later as a video on demand. You can also use FRUIT LOGISTICA Online to arrange your own meetings with exhibitors or business partners, which will then appear in your daily schedule.

Up to date

Every year, FRUIT LOGISTICA publishes surveys and analyses of the current market situation. Under the heading ’Future trends in fresh produce supply’, the Trend Report 2025 sheds light on emerging supply chains and new sources of supply and market trends that will change the trade in the years to come.

The European Statistics Handbook contains sector analyses as well as production, supply and trading data on European markets. Both publications can be downloaded free of charge prior to the fair. The FRUIT LOGISTICA Spotlights also let you familiarise yourself with innovations in advance, which you can then check out directly during the fair.

Plan your routes

Make sure to switch on your step counter, because the distances you will cover at FRUIT LOGISTICA should not be underestimated. We recommend comfortable shoes and checking the map of the grounds. Did you know, for example, that Hall 1 and Hall 27 are next to each other, as are Hall 18 and Hall 11? Some halls, such as 4.2, are located in the basement. The map also indicates entrances, stages and shuttle services. Try to organise meetings so as to minimise the distances and times between them, and choose an entrance close to your first appointment. The Berlin Exhibition Grounds are centrally located in the western half of the city and can be reached by light rail (S-Bahn), underground (U-Bahn) and by bus. A shuttle service operates every 30 minutes between the exhibition grounds and BER airport.

Successful networking

Ideally, after FRUIT LOGISTICA has ended your address book will list quite a few new key contacts. Bring a sufficient number of business cards with you, or make use of digital channels. As a user of the FRUIT LOGISTICA app you have your own QR code. Whenever you scan someone else’s QR code, it will automatically be added to your contacts under ’Networking’. Numerous events will invite you to meet new people. Even before the trade fair officially opens, a welcome party will be taking place at Bricks on Mohrenstraße. Make sure to book tickets prior to the event (4 February 2025) at this spectacular venue in Berlin. A free coffee awaits you every morning between 8 and 9 a.m. in the foyer of Hall 7. Numerous bistros and restaurants on the exhibition grounds provide an energy boost. You can book a table for yourself and your business partners at Meat & Eat at the Palais am Funkturm. If you upgrade your ticket to Gold membership, you not only benefit from fast lane admission, but can also have a quiet chat or relax in our Gold Lounge.

And finally…

Fruitful Friday is a new addition to this year’s events, and takes place on 7 February 2025. Numerous highlights which you cannot afford to miss await you on the last day of the trade fair. The Science Symposium will focus on the digital future of agriculture. At 12 midday, a sporting event awaits, with a mascot race taking place in the foyer at Messe-Süd. The FLIA and FLIA Technology 2025 winners will be announced at 1 p.m. The FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award honours international companies’ forward-looking innovations, which will be exhibited in the courtyard between Halls 1.1 and 2.1 and the passageway connecting Halls 20 and 21 for the duration of the fair. You can cast your vote at the trade fair and help decide which innovation wins the race. There will be free drinks and a DJ at the awards ceremony. Before you head home, don't forget to stop by the Ampelmann souvenir shop in Hall 24, where you can buy iconic souvenirs from Berlin.
